Coaching Director
My name is Merrin and I have been teaching and coaching for many years. My focus is on every participant having fun, learning at their own pace and in their most preferred way.
I have qualifications in Adult Education, Coaching Leadership and Disability and together they make for some great action based sessions that will help you or the people you support achieve their goals.
Together with my long-time friend Debbie we are here to help you grow inclusion in your sport, learn new skills and or develop a love of sport and sport coaching.

Hi I’m Debbie and we are putting together some great programs that will cover inclusion initially in sport and then in other areas of the community.
I love sport, all sorts of sport, and all the fun and friendship it brings, at every level.
I’ve been a player, a parent, a manager, a coach, a volunteer, and an administrator.
I have been working as an Office Manager and Bookkeeper for over 30 years. I have a Certificate IV in Bookkeeping and am a JP.
I have always loved my work and I pride myself in my abilities.
I bring all my skills and energy with me to Hit The Dot to show you how Achieving Goals Together can happen.
Tom Hollingsworth - Psychologist
Tom Hollingsworth is a registered psychologist who completed his Psychology undergraduate and Masters in Organisational Psychology at the University of Queensland. He has a strong passion in supporting people of all abilities to reach their full potential. Tom believes in using both sport and social connection to enhance the lives of all people.
He has experience working for public and private organisations within the field of Human Resources, Aerospace, Education and Training, and Government.
He enjoys working with people to assist them in identifying, achieving and celebrating their own goals and ambitions.
He enjoys spending time with his family and playing soccer and the piano - both badly
Ally Dean - Strength and Conditioning (S&C) Coach
i I’m Ally Dean and i’m currently embarking on my journey to becoming a full time Strength and Conditioning (S&C) Coach, soon to graduate from the University of Queensland with a Bachelors’s degree in Sports and Exercise Science I have a passion for optimising athletic performance and a keen interest in the intricate workings of the human body. Throughout my academic journey, i have delved into the science behind human movement, exercise physiology, and sports physiology. Driven by a commitment to excellence, i approach my role with the “Hit The Dot” team with enthusiasm and a genuine desire to empower our athletes to reach their full potential.
With graduation on the horizon, i am poised to make a meaningful impact as a S&C coach guiding our players toward peak performance, success on the court and a love for fitness.
Carli Smith - Coaching Assistant
Carli has been with us from Day 1 and we are super excited to announce she is now apart of the Coaching Team.

Kate Ellen - Yoga Instructor
Kate Ellen is a compassionate 610 hour certified yoga instructor who shares her expertise gained from 8 years of teaching experience. Kate has completed her Level 1, Level 2 & Pregnancy Yoga Teacher Training Certification and is currently studying another 100 hours of Yoga Teacher Training, specialising in Yin Yoga. Inspired by her own transformative experience, Kate aims to empower others to discover yoga's profound benefits for overall wellbeing. Kate believes yoga should be accessible for everyone, and her hopes are to share different ways of practicing yoga, it might be only the meditation or breath-work that resonates with someone, or the physical side may just need to be altered in a way to suit the individual, as there are many different variations of a yoga pose. Off the mat, Kate's yoga-inspired lifestyle unfolds. She savors moments with family – her husband and two children – and pursues her passion for music as a singer-songwriter. This harmonious blend of love, family, and creativity fuels Kate's spirit, inspiring her teaching
